TCN Technologies is a family-owned business founded in 2002. The company was built around a specific capability: the ability to formulate custom filter aid products that consolidate complex, multi-phase wastewater treatment into a single deployable product. TCN does not sell a catalog of standard products. Every formulation is engineered to the specific contaminant profile of the customer's waste stream — the active chemistry selected, combined, and carried on a Rice Hull Ash substrate to address that customer's treatment challenge and no other. TCN inverts this. The formulation is developed first, around the customer's specific contaminants, operating conditions, and discharge requirements. The process — two steps, one product — is the delivery mechanism for that formulation.
This approach requires a level of formulation expertise that is uncommon in the filter aid market. TCN tests every product against the customer's actual waste stream before deployment, verifying that the treatment chemistry performs as required before it reaches the facility.
