Who We Are

A specialist manufacturer, not
a general-line chemical supplier.

TCN Technologies is a family-owned business founded in 2002. The company was built around a specific capability: the ability to formulate custom filter aid products that consolidate complex, multi-phase wastewater treatment into a single deployable product. That capability has been developed and refined over more than 25 years of hands-on filtration technology work.

TCN does not sell a catalog of standard products. Every formulation is engineered to the specific contaminant profile of the customer's waste stream — the active chemistry selected, combined, and carried on a Rice Hull Ash substrate to address that customer's treatment challenge and no other. The result is a product that does what generic filter aids cannot: it brings the chemistry to the problem, rather than asking the problem to fit the chemistry.

TCN manufactures its products at two facilities in the United States, strategically located to provide reliable supply and efficient logistics to customers across the country. TCN products are also in use in process filtration and waste treatment operations internationally.

What Sets TCN Apart

The formulation is the product.
Everything else follows from that.

Most wastewater treatment approaches treat formulation as a secondary consideration — the chemistry is selected from a standard range, and the process is built around making that chemistry work. TCN inverts this. The formulation is developed first, around the customer's specific contaminants, operating conditions, and discharge requirements. The process — two steps, one product — is the delivery mechanism for that formulation.

This approach requires a level of formulation expertise that is uncommon in the filter aid market. TCN tests every product against the customer's actual waste stream before deployment, verifying that the treatment chemistry performs as required before it reaches the facility. The customer receives a product that has already been validated against their specific problem — not a generic product applied in good faith.

The consequence of this model is a customer relationship built on demonstrated performance rather than product specifications. TCN's ongoing supply relationships — some dating to the company's early years — reflect the consistency of treatment results that custom formulation delivers over time.

Filtration Partner

A long-standing relationship
with Oberlin Filter Company.

TCN's relationship with Oberlin Filter Company goes back to TCN's founding. Oberlin manufactures industrial pressure filtration systems engineered for demanding applications — and the Oberlin filter's operating characteristics make it an exceptionally well-suited partner for TCN filter aid products.

The Oberlin filter's key advantage in the context of TCN's two-step process is its automated media cycling. As the filter cake builds and differential pressure rises, the Oberlin automatically advances fresh filter media — without operator intervention. This autonomous operation is what allows the TCN process to run without specialist oversight, and it is why Oberlin is TCN's preferred recommendation for customers setting up new filtration infrastructure.

TCN filter aid is compatible with most industrial pressure filtration systems. For customers who already have filtration equipment in place, TCN's product will very likely work with what you have. For customers starting from scratch, the TCN and Oberlin combination represents a fully integrated treatment system — chemistry and filtration engineered to work together.

Preferred Filtration Partner
Oberlin Filter Company
Clean Liquids. Dry Solids.

Oberlin Filter Company manufactures industrial pressure filtration systems used in demanding process filtration and wastewater treatment applications. Their automated differential-pressure-triggered media cycling is a defining feature of their systems — and the operational characteristic that makes them an ideal partner for TCN's two-step process.

TCN and Oberlin have maintained a working relationship since TCN's founding. If you are evaluating filtration infrastructure for a new installation, TCN recommends contacting Oberlin directly.
